In the framework of EBSOMED, ANIMA Investment Network launched on the first of July 2021 an Online BSO Management Academy under the theme « Promoting gender equality with investors and enterprises».

Gender equality and women’s economic empowerment are one of the main topics that the EBSOMED project is working on, and it is included in the eight Millennium Development Goals and are considered a key lever for achieving the other seven goals.

The webinar brought together female economic development figures in the Mediterranean region and provided an overview of the current situation in the Mediterranean countries with regard to this issue, and the good practices and initiatives implemented in companies or by economic development actors to address it. The event also highlighted concrete and tailored regional initiatives to encourage women entrepreneurs through access to finance support and tailored mentoring.
