For the occasion of the “EU MED means Business” Conference, the EU Neighbours South produced a new brochure about the EU engagement in the Southern Neighbourhood regarding economic growth and job creation. The brochure illustrates the multi-faceted EU socio-economic cooperation in the Mediterranean by highlighting different EU-funded projects contributing to the development of a stronger, more supportive business environment, essential for socio-economic growth.

The MEDA finance study presents an exhaustive survey of grants, technical assistance and lines of credit offered by several aid institutions working within different economic support programmes in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, and Tunisia for economic development in the Mediterranean region. This study has been produced in the frame of the MEDA Finance 2017, a EUROMED Invest 2-day academy taking place in April 2017 in Cairo, Egypt.

Report - The Role of SMEs in the Socioeconomic Development of the Mediterranean Region

Mrs Jihen Boutiba, EBSOMED's Executive Director participated in the ”Barcelona Euro-Med Forum: Bridging SMEs between North and South Mediterranean", to present this regional project, its objectives and instruments to implement all the activities envisaged to enhance Business Support Organisations and Business Networks, in the purpose of promoting Private Sector Development, Competitiveness, Job Creation and Youth and Women Empowerment. The official conference report, produced by IEMed and MED Confederation, proposing among others, an analysis and recommendations related to the EBSOMED project, is available for download here.
