As part of the EBSOMED project, CAWTAR, in collaboration with the European Institute of the Mediterranean, IEMed, organizes in Barcelona, Spain, from 27 to 29 September 2022, the BSO Management Academy “Management, Coordination and Financial Administration of EC Funded Projects”.

The proposed training package is designed with the scope of providing to 15-18 participants with a solid understanding of the EU projects environment and framework, and to acquaint them with knowledge immediately applicable to their project proposals. It will equip participants with all the necessary knowledge, skills and reference sources to help them understand, tailor and effectively use the PM² Methodology for the coordination of multi-party project work. The training will also provide participants with the necessary skills for effective reporting and smooth communication with the Project Officers of the European Commission.

Therefore, the general objectives of the Academy are:

• Enhance the management capacities of BSOs executives to better reach their objectives, manage their organization and improve the services provided to their members
• Raise awareness about good practices in term of EC funded project management
• Network, exchange experiences and best practices between BSOs involved and identification of synergies between them
