Within the framework of the EBSOMED project, BUSINESSMED organized on March 10, 2021 an online training workshop under the theme “Why and how to create a BCD account ".

64 participants, mainly Business Support Organisations and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, including women-led businesses from 16 European and Southern Neighbourhood countries, benefited from the training.

The training started with a presentation of the main features of the platform through the airing of the official video, then the session focused on the different steps of creating a BCD account. The instructor presented the two types of accounts that can be created through the platform and encouraged the participants to start the registration of their organization during the training in order to be able to offer them online help.

The next trainings will focus on involving different targets, starting by the European Union Delegations to the Southern Neighbourhood countries, the European Embassies, and local institutions in each country, followed by national country presentations in view to raise awareness about this regional tool and establish new synergies. A set of conferences on topics related to trade and investment and business continuity is also foreseen by the end of the year.

The three main services of the BCD platform, EuroMed Business Matching Tool, Partnership and Helpdesk, will each be highlighted during future training events.
