In a desire to develop synergy between different initiatives funded by the EU, the Secretariat of the EBSOMED project met on January 20, 2021, Christophe Malherbe, Team Leader of the MED MSMEs Programme whose vocation is to support dialogue at the regional level to inspire policies and reforms in favor of MSMEs, particularly in terms of internationalization and access to finance.

The discussions allowed to identify possible actions to be considered for joint implementation in 2021, in line with the new EU strategies as well as with the new approach adopted by the EBSOMED project in the current context, especially regarding the internationalization component, a theme to which the two respective programs are likely to contribute significantly, including through:

• Promotion and mobilization around the Business Country Desk BCD platform (www.bcdesk.eu)
• Disseminating good practices that have already proven effective
• Conducting surveys involving stakeholders from both sides of the Mediterranean 
• Setting up debates on specific and targeted themes
• The co-organization of events bringing together representatives of the private sector and policy makers
