Exploring the Regulatory Framework and Role of RSE Labels in Promoting Sustainable Business: EBSOMED’s Webinar Recap

On December 16th, 2022, ANIMA organized an online academy as part of the EBSOMED project, focused on the regulatory framework and role of RSE labels. The webinar aimed to provide attendees with an overview of the regulations and best practices for approaching regulation in Mediterranean countries through the use of an RSE label. The event was open to all organizations that support businesses and aim to encourage their development of corporate social responsibility and their contribution to sustainable development, including agencies, federations, associations, chambers of commerce, clusters, incubators, and accelerators.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to engage in discussions and ask questions of the two expert speakers: Douja Ben Mahmoud Gharbi, a Serial Entrepreneur who has created and managed several companies across various sectors, including industry, services, and trade, and is the co-founder and manager of gas pedal RedStart Tunisia and a founding member of CONECT- Confederation of Citizen Enterprises of Tunisia; and Mélodie Merenda, an economist and environmental engineer with MINES ParisTech, who has worked as a CSR and Circular Economy Project Manager for the AFNOR Group since 2016.

In addition to gaining insights from the expert speakers, attendees had the opportunity to discover the IMPACT RATING evaluation tool and engage in discussions with other like-minded organizations. The seminar provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework and role of RSE labels in promoting sustainable business practices in the Mediterranean region.
