In the framework of the EBSOMED project, the Belgian organisation AWEX, affiliated to ANIMA Investment Network, set up a technical assistance mission entitled "Export Promotion & Internationalisation of SMEs", consisting of a 3-day visit of the Tunisian Export Promotion Center (CEPEX) to AWEX in Brussels, Belgium.

For three days, CEPEX objective was to learn from AWEX experience and expertise in export support and internationalisation of Wallonia companies by getting familiar with the European tools and programmes for trade support, notably through coaching programmes and working sessions: the debates were oriented towards improving the existing offers through the exchange of good practices and personalized recommendations to enhance business support efficiency.

Throughout document analysis, service presentations and debriefing sessions, AWEX and CEPEX discussed business strategy organisations, network management and synergy with existing networks, in the context of an internationalized export business.

As several AWEX services were present, notably the AWEX communication officers and the financial incentives and logistics services, this peer learning exchange has also been an opportunity for AWEX to get a better understanding of the Tunisian economic ecosystem and the Tunisian export companies and their capacities.
