Investing on Woman workforce and entrepreneurship, a priority for the EBSOMED project
Within the framework of the EBSOMED project, ASCAME and its affiliates organized an online Academy under the theme "How to invest and develop Woman workforce and entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean region". The event was held on November 19, 2021, on the side-lines of the 2021 edition of MedaWeek Barcelona.
The Academy aimed to support women entrepreneurs in the Mediterranean, Middle East and North Africa and to help accelerate the growth of women-owned businesses and start-ups in the Mediterranean region. To this end, the academy worked to ensure that participants had access to information, contacts with funders, global leaders, private and public sector partners, and entrepreneurs from across the region.
Speakers discussed further steps to address policy and regulatory barriers, as well as actions that will accelerate access to financing instruments, launch innovative partnerships with the private sector, and provide training and networking opportunities for women entrepreneurs in the Mediterranean.
The EBSOMED academy was an opportunity to present best practices of Mediterranean and international Businesswomen, who shared their experiences in the business world and the latest market information in the sector. The experts also presented appropriate measures for evaluating the performance of women entrepreneurs and how to develop them in the future.
