Regional Campaign for the Promotion of EBSOMED Project
In the framework of EBSOMED Project, the first media regional campaign has been held on the occasion of its official launch on June 28th, 2018 in Tunis.
The objective of the campaign was the rise of awarness on EBSOMED‘s specific objectives and the reach of a wider audiance in the target countries over the 4 years of the project, strengthen the visibility of the EU commitement towards EU neighbours south partner coutnries.
This campaign began with an identification phase in April combined with contact appointments with around 70 journalists from the Euro-Mediterranean region, 40 of medias were invited to cover the official launch of the project in Tunis.
A meeting was organized with the reporters a day before the kick-off to present EBSOMED project and the next day’s activities. Press kits were distributed, containing the project brochure, the official press release, the presentation of the consortium as well as various goodies and documents.
On the day of the kick-off, a press room was set up close to the conference room, so that journalists could write their articles and conduct their various interviews. Depending on the type of media to which they belong, some journalists made a simultaneous coverage while others opted for post-event publications.
At the end of the event, all publications, press reviews and feedbacks were collected for the production and creation of a media report on the kickoff seminar coverage. This initiative was for EBSOMED a great opportunity to create and consolidate a network of journalists to ensure a growing effectiveness of the next regional communication campaigns.
