The thematic committee “Education and R&D on Energy Technologies” has been created in 2018 in the framework of the EBSOMED project with the aim to join the forces to stimulate investments in a resource-efficient economy, promoting innovation in clean technology and creating green jobs.

The challenges are alarming and serious actions must be undertaken. Hence, the committee’s work is focusing on exploring the extent to which technological innovation can lower the cost of achieving climate change mitigation objectives.

Another area of focus of the committee is related to the current education and R&D programmes available and/or planned in each country. To this end, interviews have been conducted with country experts and stakeholders involved in the education and R&D identified by each member of the EBSOMED technical committee.

In this sense, BUSINESSMED, in the framework of EBSOMED, is organising a webinar on 16 September 2021, designed for different Energy stakeholders, research technology and innovation institutions, Employers organizations, NGOs and different Economic operators.

The webinar will present the results of the empirical study conducted following the field work and the literature review on the energy market in the 4 target countries namely, Egypt, Jordan, Malta and Tunisia.

Participants will have the opportunity to exchange with the expert, ask questions, make comments and share relevant material on the online platform of Zoom, through the Q&A function.
